Picking & Ripening

Avocado's Size

Our avocados are medium to large; our fruit will generally weigh between 160g - 210g.

 

Picking

We pick your Avocados on Sunday and Monday, and ship them on Tuesday morning. As long as your order is placed before 8am on the morning of the Monday you will receive them that week.

In the case of adverse weather conditions shipping may be delayed to the Wednesday morning.

 

Ripening

The Avocados will be naturally ripe and ready to eat within 10 to 14 days of being picked on the Sunday or Monday.

Avocados are picked and shipped when they are mature, and they ripen once off the tree.

This time guide is for the start of the season (Aug-Sept). In late season (January) the ripening time shortens.

For best ripening keep in a warm room, away from direct sunlight, and when ripe if you wish to hold them for a day or two, place in your fridge.
